The Acura Type S Concept car will debut at the Monterey Car Week on August 15, 2019. It is rumored that the Type S Concept is a precursor of an upcoming production 2021 TLX Type S.

The last time a Type S was sold in North America was in 2008, and it had a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6. But Acura stated in 2018 that a turbocharged V-6 would be coming, and now almost a decade later, Acura is saying it has committed to many “Type S performance variants” over the next several years.

Following its world premiere at a private Acura reception on Thursday, August 15, the Acura Type S Concept will make its public debut on Friday, August 16 at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
