Falken Goes Above and Beyond

Falken Tires was selected as the winner of Subaru of Indiana Supplier (SIA) award. SIA gives the award to its suppliers in recognition for exceptional performance over the past year.

Subaru’s North American manufacturing facility’s managers identified Falken as providing an “above and beyond effort.”

“Suppliers have a critical role in our quality and manufacturing efficiency,” said Scott Brand, Senior Vice President at SIA. “We embrace the opportunity to celebrate those companies that are providing excellent service and enable us to achieve mutual success.”

At SIA, Falken is the exclusive original equipment supplier to the Subaru Ascent three-row SUV, where it provides ZIEX ZE001 All-Season tires. SIA is Subaru’s only manufacturing facility in the U.S. and currently produces the Ascent, Impreza, Legacy and Outback models for North America. Since production began in 1989, the plant has seen annual output grow from 67,000 vehicles to approximately 370,000.

Falken also is the exclusive supplier to Subaru’s Forester and Crosstrek XV (Limited trim), providing ZIEX ZE001 All-Season tires to Subaru’s factory in Japan.

Falken Tires and Formula Drift

Falken not only supplies tires to the OE for everyday drivers, but Falken tires can also be found on Formula Drift racecars.

In the USA, Formula Drift cars are required to run U.S. DOT-approved tires that are commercially available and approved by the sanctioning body. This gives Falken an opportunity to showcase and develop its high-performance street-legal tires.
