Unveiled at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Infiniti’s Prototype 10 is an Electric Vehicle Concept that was inspired by the style of classic Californian speedsters.
This concept car is Infiniti’s vision of the future.
Infiniti has stated that all new models introduced in 2021 or later will have electric powertrains.
“Our electric-vehicle architecture represents a turning point for our design teams,” said Infiniti president Roland Krueger in a statement accompanying the Prototype 10’s release. “Electrification provides new opportunities for the design and layout of our cars,” echoed Infiniti design director Karim Habib. The Prototype 10 is an exploration of how the design of the brand’s cars might change in the electrified era.
The Prototype 10’s creation was overseen by Infiniti’s Japan design center, designed digitally in the UK, and crafted by hand in San Diego, California.
