The Super Luxury Sedan Gets Greener
With a base price of $185,450, Porsche’s new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid doesn’t disappoint. Its 4.0-liter V-8 engine and two twin-scroll turbochargers put out 550 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Add in the electric motor, which bolts onto the back of the V-8 and provides 136 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and the combined system output is 680 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard. LED headlights and driver assists are optional.
